Last night was insane here in Denver! First we had heavy rain, thunder and lightning, which quickly turned to sleet then heavy snow. The wind was angry, power was out in spots across the city as the inches of wet, heavy snow built up…. quickly.
After being teased with quite a few warm days in the high 60s and low 70s, our official spring was ripped from underneath us as we woke to a winter wonderland again. Was this the blizzard of 2010? We always get something in March.
I tried making my kids a deal to clean the house and I’d either pay them or we’d *try* to go do something fun. The snow is heavy and wet, purrrrrrrrfect for snowmen, snowball fights and amazing sledding and tubing! Bowling sounds like a perfect way to wrap up the day. Of course, as I write this they are horsing around instead of their chores. I can’t blame them much, who wants to clean when fun is on the horizon.

Looking every bit as tiny and fragile as her mere eight days might suggest, the blanket Tonee photographed Savanna on during this evening photo session brought out her own preciously soft skin. The biggest challenge? Getting this little one to fall asleep long enough so that her calm serenity could be captured in a series of breathtaking images.

With only 3 precious months under his belt, Parker was a tough little one to capture. But when the mood struck him just right he was full of giggles Tonee was able to capture his bright blue eyes just right. He even was able to share some of his curiosity through those priceless expressions that only babies can perfect- despite the fact that our nighttime in studio photo session was inching close to his bed time.

Yay! I’m so happy you are here! I am officially open for sessions! I am so so SO excited about Little Giraffe, and I’m certain that Denver moms and dads will be as well! On the 19th and 20th I was running portfolio building sessions for kids between the ages of newborn and 10, that’s what LG is for…. Just those ages! I had so many sessions and have only gotten thru 3/4 of the first day, but the images of the kids are just amazing! Bright, bold colors… Cute little giggles and smiles… sigh!
Newborns to age 10 are welcome to explore their personalities through a 40 minute or less session in studio or at a pre-determined location, and the affordable rates make moms and dads happy! All children are photographed solo or as siblings. Little Giraffe is not meant for family photography, and if you would like a family session, please contact Tonee through the main portal at www.toneelawrence.com to schedule a full family session.
In studio sessions are simple, no props, no distractions, just your sweet little human and their amazing personality! That little smile, a silly giggle, those tiny teeth and long lashes! Bright or neutral colors work best for in studio, while newborns are usually photographed nude.
3 pre-determined outdoor locations are available for your child’s session. The locations range from nature, urban, and modern looks, perfect for new discoveries, “ooos” and “ohhhs”, pointing fingers, hats, scarves and boots, tonka trucks, and butterfly wings!
The session length is solely determined by the kids. I will not pressure them, and if they are not wanting pictures taken then we will reschedule… easy enough. Usually they last between 20 to 40 minutes and are strictly solo or siblings, no families, no pets, no adults…. just kids.
So come on! No more excuses, Mom! Break away from the chain, cattle-hearding “studios” and let your kids EXPERIENCE the world! If you can afford Sears, Olan Mills, Kiddie Candids, and Portrait Innovations, you can afford Little Giraffe. It’s not a photo shoot, it’s an experience! It’s a discovery, and your kiddo is not going to be little for much longer. Just blink, and they are grown.
I have a small creative fee of $75.00 and if you commit to a package at the time of booking, your session retainer will drop to $50.00. Professionally printed images and products start at only $10.00 a la carte, and include basic editing. I do require a minimum order of $150.00 without the purchase of a collection or package. All orders may be payable with a convienent payment plan if needed.
